As i was sitting at the busstop to give a surprise to Saadah, my mind ran wild. I thought deeply. About how love, attention, care and concern are so important to children. I generalize the term to children, our future children, anybody's children. Without caring a hoot whether they are still small kids or teenagers. How much they yearn for love and attention from their parents secretly. Well, even though they will never admit face to face. How much these factors will affect their behaviour, leading to their future. Money is not everything. Money can never really satisfy a child. Maybe to a small extent, yes. But i feel the child might not really appreciate of having money and abuse it to buying branded goods and all. I know two people of really different backgrounds. First person. She is twenty now. She is living in a 2-storey flat with her family. Both her parents are working. So imagine lah, i'm sure her basic needs are given. I'm sure whatever she wants are given in terms of physically. Not emotionally. I don't think her parents spend time with her THAT much. So yeah, she's quite wild. Can see that. She drinks, clubs and all. And for your info, she is a single parent of a 4 year old child. Second person. She is twenty now. She is living in a 3-room flat with her family, compromising of about nine people including her. Only her father is working. So yeah, she's quite reserved and all. Of course, she has her own social life and all. But not wild. I think she has enough money to survive for everyday life kind of thing, ya know. She don't drink, club and all. And for your info, she is single and taken care safely in the house. By the way, both of them are the eldest in the family. So you see. Money isn't everything. A real life story by two people of really different backgrounds. And of course, there are some exceptions in this world right. People might disagree with me but oh well, these are just my thoughts and feelings. It is kinda sad to see woman become a single parent at a very young age. I know time is running out but hold on, take your time. Do yourself a favour and learn to love yourself wholeheartedly. And in the future, i don't want to be a career minded woman or mother till i left my child helplessly alone. Please push that situation far, far away from me.. Ohh. In the end, i didn't get to meet Saadah for her surprise. Sheesh~ Love idah. |
